    timing chain failure

    just had my tming chain break ,less then 2 hours on rebuild, this was a new timing chain from sbt,now i need to know ,waht is the best timing chain out there ,actually got lucky and ddint do alot of damage,motor is .5 over stock,this is an 04 rxp

    They only sell the new one unless you find NOS.

    Anybody know what is up with SBT parts are they Chinese rip offs? I have read several threads about SBT parts failing early.

    so looks like an oem ,is there anyway that the chain can be installed to tight or to loose ,and when it was was running , i would put the key on get two beeps then after it started i would get one long beep ,,,but never pulled any codes.

    on an 04 you need to press "SET" 5 times to display the code and the ski has to be running.

    i know about the set button and i did that when the ski was runnning ,but still never pulled a code
