98 XP Limited.. Engine Rebuild or Easy Fix?

I just bought a 98 XP Limited Seadoo. First time on the water it cut out after about half an hour of riding. I was able to get it started twice but eventually had no power. I took it to a mechanic who put a new solenoid and told me I have 110 compression in one cylinder and 75 in the other. Do I need to do a engine rebuild or is there an easier fix?

welcome to the forum. sounds like a top end rebuild is in order. you should have about 135psi in a 951cc engine.

you will need to pull the carbs and give them a good cleaning. replace the fuel lines and fuel selector. there is a sticky at the top of the 2 stroke section about how to do this. oil pumps rarely fail so I doubt it was that. top ends, if you do it yourself it may cost you $300 -$400 maybe less
