Flushing my waverunner
If riding in fresh water lake, is it necessary to flush the waverunner after EVERY use? Just got a new VXR and don't have access to a hose. I can certainly find a hose if need be. Thanks for the info!

if riding in fresh water, don't worry about flushing the ski, just fire it up and blow out the water box once you get the ski outta the water, we ride fresh water every weekend and never flush

No need to flush in fresh water. Had over 500 hrs on my SHO in fresh water before selling it and never flushed it once.

Quick tip, engage the reverse actuator before you blow out the exhaust water. That will limit RPMs to approx 3k and keep you from over-revving the engine.

Thanks for that tip Kelly_A. I've got a '12 VXS and keep watching the tach when i blow out the water box. It's hard to keep the revs down just watching the bar graph.

the vxr/s series doesn't have a rev limiter in reverse, so dont waste your time pulling the reverse bucket down, just a couple quick revs does the trick
