I took them off my SL 900 once and it was awful. Put them right back on.

I got a pair of hot seat ones. Put them on today but havent tried them out yet. I see they are made of thick nylon instead of plastic like the beach house ones.
I was thinking this winter ill make some out of carbon fiber for fun. A cool project to work on.

I have not ridden without them, but I can immaging that it would be a hand full. My 1200 PRO has Polaris sponsions on it and my 785 is stock. I prefer the ride on the stock sponsions if that means anything. It's much more stable at speed and I can cut just as hard of a corner with the factory sponsions with the trim up. The aftermarket ones look cooler, but my opinion is the factory ones are much better with stability. Maybe on a close circuit racing course they may excell, but not by much. I still enjoy driving my 785 any day of the week over my 1200. Just much more fun to drive. Plus, I get the most air out of wake jumping with my 785. Hands down my favorite ski!

Well since i have experienced a failing sponson while cruising, be aware that it could happen to any of us.
It was scary when it happened. I had no idea what actually happened until i saw the sponon hanging 90 degrees off the ski. Could of been very dangerous if next to someone riding. Or near a boat or seawall or dock.
Imagine doin wot and have 1 break. Or coming off a wake.
