    1993 750 with 1994 stator and 780 cdi

I am having trouble getting this thing going. I was trying to tune the carbs (way too white) and the back cylinder was not working, I figured the carbs need work. However, when I had the pwc beached with the rear plug out I noticed smoke coming out of the cylinder with the timing of the waves hitting the jet that was still in the water. Does this indicate a bad gasket or could it just be the position of the piston?

Sounds like the waves were producing air pressure pulses in the exhaust system and one cylinder had the exhaust port open.

The preferred method for checking fuel richness is piston wash pattern, not reading the spark plug tips. Search for wash pattern to find previous threads showing how it is done.

If you have not yet rebuilt the carbs and serviced the fuel system, then now would be the time to do so. See my signature links for more info.

I went through the carbs and they are good. I also went through the triple outlet fuel pump and it is good. However the pressure/suction from the motor to the pump is weaker then my 650. I can barely feel it with my finger over the hose while cranking the motor over.... Is this ok or what is the next step? The hose is on tight and is not leaking from motor to pump

What is the compression on the PTO cylinder? Have you checked the condition of the reeds? Is the hose clogged at all? Is the pulse fitting in the crankcase clogged?

If the reeds are damaged, they may not seal causing week compression in the bottom of the motor.......
