Starter???

I tried starting the ski and it fills like the battery is dying then i installed a new fresh charge battery and it does the same thing. Pulled the starter out and spins fine, then spin the engine by hand and it seems fine. Could the starter be getting lacy under load? What could be causing this? The stater is about a year old from sbt.

Try to cross the relay while the starter is on the ski.It sounds like a bad relay!

I did that and did the same thing. I just tried again and the starter locked then pulled it out and the bendix seems jammed out.
