2000 Waverunner gp1200 ltd - crankcase full of fuel

crankcase is full of fuel - does anyone have any experience as to what would cause this to happen? All 3 cylinders are full of fuel.

If you lost the plastic diaphram that goes between the fuel pump and vacuum cover on one of the carbs, you could flood fuel thru the whole engine via the vacuum pump hose into the intake manifold and crossover channels.
