my worx grate is mysteriously gone.... wtf?
so i just checked under my ski and my grate is gone. front portion is there all bolts as well, no wonder my ski has been having a tough time getting over 73 mph .... running et 137 with kani, riva 50s , i ride mostly flat river water . should i get another worx or get a riva?

Riva or R&D....Make sure your not binding the grate up either when you install it...i have noticed this on a couple of boats i have worked on..if the grate does not go up and sit in there flush, and has to be pulled in with the bolts then you may need to do some work on the grate to get it to fit in correctly.....IMO undo stress on the grate, along with the pressure of the water pulling it down, can cause it to snap just as yours did....NOW i may and am problebly wrong, but this is just an observation i have noticed with the grates...

i assume its the boat in your sig which says RXPX.....if thats the case u want a R&D....PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
p.s. listen to what SNO said as well regarding installation as this is very important...........BET!!!!

i put 40 hours on this grate last year, not sure when it came off been riding my et 137, riva 50 , 4" kani for 20 hours this season and havent noticed any difference in the ski's performance in any way shape or form. didnt know it was missing till i decided to peak underneath today.

so what effect would not having an intake grate have on performance with my upgrades? i was wondering why last year the ski seemed to rip through chop n this year hardly wanted to stay connected. thought maybe my new found power had something to do with it
