ID:	277474Can anyone ID this plate? I think its a stock slt. I removed it from my 94 sl750. The ski is proposing bad! It had a 5 degree wedge and I could only go 22 mph before it would launch itself out of the water no mater were I put the trim. I removed the wedge and with full down trim I can get it up to 49 mph if I push down on the bars. This does not last to long and it will porpoise again, I need to lay the ski over a little and some times it will stop for a very short time. This is on smooth water. Also I attached a pic of the R&D grate, can anybody tell me a little about it? were should I expect to have trim when cruising? This is my first ski and need a little help. Thanks.

Those look to be the stock ride plate and intake grate on a 95 SLX. Somebody else please check me on that - The SLX I bought didn't have an intake grate installed.....

Should this thing porpoise that bad with this setup? What would the trim be good for if it needs to be all the way down to ride?

2 seaters porpoise really bad in the rough water or with 2 people on them at higher speed.

The trim helps adjust for different conditions. Do you have sponsons?

No sponsons, I'm looking at them now. I'm not sure which ones to get, my primary goal is to get it to ride good with out the porpoise effect and would like it to still spin out if thats possabile. Would a o/p ride plate offer any more then the slx plate I have now?

The OP plate would be a huge improvement over the plate you have now. To my knowledge, that plate you have is designed to be run with sponsons. So either add on would fix your issue. The sponsons will make it harder to spin out. If you really want it to spin out, put a stock SL 750 plate on it.
