    big bird

    this guy flew right into the side of my house a while back. it was stunned for a bout 2 hours and then flew away apparently uninjured. it stood maybe 14/15 inches tall in the photos. BIG wingspan. anyone know what it is? hawk? falcon?

    looks like a hawk to me. I have a similar one that stands on the fence eyeing the fish in my pond.

    looks like an immature coopers hawk going by those pics.
    i'm glad it wasn't hurt too bad and flew away under its own power. i wasn't looking forward to having to pick it up and take it to get some help....the thing looks like a maneater...LOL
