Pay close attention to that felt strip on the rear lip of the shoe. Seems like a lot of people toss it and don't seal properly. If that is missing or left unsealed it causes some issues from what I've seen around here. Any of the shoes I've done, I've filled them with 4200FC over the course of two days, doing half at a time for curing reasons and I've never had an issue. Two tubes works fine, is really quick and clean.

this is the correct way to seal a shoe
get rid of the felt seal completely, and I recommend 5200fast cure
be sure the shoe is recessed into the hull, and update brackets if needed
also a tunnel reinforcement is also recommended
