    2007 RXT Fuel Filter Change

looks like changing the inner and outer fuel filters will be a breeze. However, how is the fuel pressure released? the manual says to use BUDS software to release the pressure. I would like to avoid a trip to a dealer if possible.

    thanks!

just don't start it for a while and you will be fine.

Removing the fuel pump is a crap job and fuel will go everywhere if not careful. Surprising how much the swirl pot holds!

Removing the fuel pump assbly is a huge PIA and fuel will get everywhere. I open the gas cap to help release pressure build up.
When I do it, I put towels down in the area of the gas tank where I will pull the fuel assbly out. I try to keep it upright as much as possible to spill as little as I can. Once out it still will have a decent amount of fuel in it so I always pour it right back in the tank
