Gas melted orange plastics on 2012 GTR
I was at the river this weekend and while filling fuel I spilt some gas on the orange plastics and it melted and stained the plastic to a dull white. Anyone out there with a new 2011 or 2012 GIT, GTR have similar problems?

Yes I read that this has happened to a couple people on newer doos. If you do a search I'm sure you can find the thread

When I gas I'm always concerned something like you mentioned might happen. I try to wipe off any gas that ends up getting spilled, in addition I keep a pretty decent coat of wax on the ski.

Keep a small spray bottle of starbrite bilge cleaner on hand for gasing up. It instantly breaks down the harmful compounds in the gasoline and won't harm anything on the ski (well, don't spray it in electronics). I used to work a marina gas dock in high school and we would spray a little on the side of the boat wherever there was spills to save the pinstriping and wax. Even if we spilled in the water we would spray a little on the surface and the gas would instantly be gone.
