My Winter Build Up...RAIDER 1200
I am going to build it up for this season, I will be at MUDBUG to run, it wont be the fastest but it wil suprise a few...I am going with 84mm PRO-X pistons, with 650 pins, T/W crank, VF-2 reeds ,spacer plate ,46 mikunis/Rive flame arrestors , 150 psi head, Riva 1200 and all electronics, ported cases,13/19 or 14/20 prop ,trued polished filled rideplate,Riva sponsons and (TIM JUDGE PORTING), he is the top Raider builder in my book, Tim has built more Raiders than I have ever heard of, his offshore Raiders were sweet and also champion, if you talk to him it is like he truly wants to listen, (that in its self is an uncommon thing), I commend him for that, when building up an older ski , you usually run into , questions like ."why do you want to do that"....who cares as long as you pay for it and know what you want.......I will be posting my work on the exhaust , Jetworks, and other things to help flow on the engine.i have to make a lot of the items myself such as brackets ,and a carb rack bar, to make it easier to remove the carbs all at once, here is my engine taken down and time to go to the machine shop for boring, the 1100 can be taken to 84 mm with no problem, it still has enough left to go to 84.25 then 84.50 ,so you can still have something left if you have to...sorry for rambling, but I am getting excited about the Hop -up, these are before pictures I took to show the differences.....

Thats awesome, I'm glad to hear you are doing this. Your ski is going to fly. I predict 68+. You, me & Osidebill are all going to be at Mudbug with some old school beast!

Me and my cousin "TheDome" are probably going to leave Tuesday night, Wednesday morning at the latest. We are going to take a few days off work, can you get away that early?

No not that early....probably Friday night, we have 2 small boys and have to get all the arrangements..........

I look forward to meeting you. We are going up a few days early to get dialed in for that swamp heat, and to see how much gas I am going to need to get me from the boat ramp to the radar run. It is not that far but I want to make sure I am on the buzzer. On my ski the difference from a 1/4 of a tank to the buzzer is about .3-.5 mph. I am going to need all the help I can get to keep you and Osidebill off my ass. You guys and that secret case porting stuff, lol.

Did TJ do your porting before or after Riva? If he did them while at Riva, I'm curious what the engravings on your cylinders say (other than 'Riva'). I'll try to take a pic of mine tonite. Supposedly they were the first generation of Riva's porting specs and were just a little too extreme and Riva ended up using a slightly detuned version for thier final porting specs.

97, I also want to meet all the faces behind the names...I know what you mean about the fuel, all the GPR's I run with make fun of me .cause I run on fumes, my sending unit is off a little since I use "RED" gp1200 gauges on my ski , the resistance on the sending units is different, when I am on the buzzer it still has more in it than I want , it is tuff , but you have to just look inside and know it has enough fuel, I will remedy that when I get a gp1200 sender...................
superd..my cylinders are going to Tim REAL soon, so I guess the answer is AFTER Riva.........I cant wait.......the picture at the bottom is at Johns (DARTHRAIDER)....
