RIVA RY30040-DSS DRIVESHAFT SLEEVE, YAM FX/FZ

... I hope it does seems too boring to read all that stuff!

My problem now is the following:

What I most desire is to improve is the final velocity. For today I only reach 77.0 mph with a impeller 15/23R x 160mm, but before I hit 84.4mph with impeller 15/23 x 155mm!

Watch the video with the impeller of 155mm:

Now what I think that when I run with the jet with the 160mm impeller the engine needs a little bit more power to achieve high revs ranges quickly as before.

Perhaps more pressure on the supercharger could solve this?

I also believe that with some improvements on re-programming the ECU, another type of supercharger rotor , larger fuel injectors and a few other things could allows me to reach again speed of around 84mph or more.

Please see what you can suggest me to achieve this goal - without having to greatly modify the current set.

Feel free to suggest what works best!

So you ran 84 with the 155 pump and now you only run 77 with the 160 pump, and the prop pitch is the same on both pumps. I think the bigger pump is giving you more low end thrust, but it's hurting your top end speed. I think you need to change your prop to maximize your bigger pump.

I was always told that with 160mm you will be loosing some top speed.

You need way less pitch with the 160mm impeller. You
Should be able to ger your speed back. The big impeller shouldnt
Scrub speed, as long as you can pull enough pitch out to keep
Your rpms up. With just c3 (13 psi) wheel i can barely turn 8200rpms. Already
Pitched down to 14/19. But with your E1 wheel you should be able to get back
    To 84mph

Hi, can I ask what your rpms were with the 155 impeller?

What are your rpms with the 160 mm impeller?

Which 155 impeller are you using?

My experience is a Solas 155 mm impeller will be at least 1 mph faster than the 160 mm Skat. (if your rpms are the same with both impellers)

What are your O2 sensor readings at WOT?

I think if you turn on the rising rate portion of the fuel pressure regulator you won't need to use the R&D powershot fuel controller.

    You were told wrong

The problem is people think they can run the same pitch with a 155 with their 160mm and this kills the RPM
Drop 4 pitch sizes and the magic happens.

jerry is right, consider it like a hose pipe what happens if you cover the end with your finger, you get a lot faster water flow when its partially covered.

So Jerry a skat 13/21 will work best with his setup. Because basically I have his same setup with standard compression pistons ( I don't know if that makes to much of a difference ) and I'm at the same speed as him. My ROM's seem to be around 8000. I also have the prop. So I should repitch to a 13/21 ?

Im interested to know, since riva internals are heavier than stock engine internals, does it change the amount of force needed or make any type of difference when running a ski around 8500 rpm range?
