I have a Garmin foretrex 201, it came with a strap and and plastic mount for the handle bars. If you are running aftermarket bars the plastic mount works good. It comes with rubber strips you put inside the mount. You then tighten a screw and it clamps the mount around the bars. See the link below and scroll down to see the plastic mount.

If all you want is a speedo, get the Garmin 201.

I use the garmin also it works great but it does not have any navigation maps built in. It does have a bread crumb trail feature the does help get you back to your start point if your on an new lake that has lots of fingers.
