Lightbulb New to the fun filled world of PWC

I recently became to proud new owner of a 2012 Yamaha VX Cruiser. I typically ride in freshwater, but I am planning a trip to the Alabama Gulf Coast. I know that I should flush the ski immediately after removing it from the water, but what if there is no immediate water access. Can the ski wait until I return to the condo to flush it? If I wait will it damage the ski? I want to enjoy the ski in the waves but not if she'll get hurt.

You'll be fine. Just make sure you flush it as soon as you get back to the condo.

I am doing the same next week in AL. I am planning on not flushing mine for a couple of days and just running them in a freshwater lake on the trip home.

You are required to wash your ski between different bodies of water this way you don't transport vegetation and or species of whatever . According to the DEEP. And just as important-----welcome to the hulk!

When I said you should be fine if you don't flush it right away, I meant like within a couple hours at most of pulling your ski out of the water....I wouldn't want salt water sitting in my ski for 2 or 3 days.

Welcome to the forums. I was looking at a VX Deluxe before I was talked into the VXR. What a great reliable low maintenance ski you picked. You'll definitely enjoy it!
