    FZR/FZS impeller??

You guys run the nose cone on the Solas Dynafly impeller on the FZR/FZS ski? I know guys used to experiment not running them on the GPR but I didn't know what the consensus was for the newer skis??

    Thanks

I did use the new version of the skat impeller nose cone. It had been on for about a year. I pulled the pump just the other day. Wish i didn't. I hope I can get it off when needed. I used never seize but it has probably all washed out by now. I will not be using a nose again.

I'm wondering if there is a speed gain or loss from leaving it off the front of the impeller. Or any cavitation

I will not be using a cone when re-installing my Skat prop.

I never tested it. I will also add that it was anodized black. It is now a crumbly grey.

Have you seen any gains by not running it and wonder if the Solas would be any different than skat?
