Just curious as to which intake grate anyone has on a 2008 RXP-X ?

I am hoping someone will chime in on this topic ! I was waxing the bottom of my RXP-X & noticed that my Worx Grate had cracked !
I have the R&D grate to replace it that I had in a box . My question should I buy another Worx intake grate ? I found out that the price is $239.00 for 1 for the 08 RXP-X ! Just curious is it worth the extra money to buy the Worx or should I just keep the R&D grate on the ski ? I hope I get some response back on this topic !

What conditions do you ride in? I liked the Worx for rougher water and I thought a better hole shot. The R&D is better for top end.

I ride in all kinds of conditions from flat to rough water ! I really like the Worx ,but going to try out the R&D & see if there is a difference ? It seems it really hooks up in the rough water & I feel like I am on rails riding in the wind with the Worx Grate ! LOL

I agree 100%. The WORX is great. It will start to stuff around 75+mph so if you start modding be aware. If not for that I'd still be running mine.

R&D all the way! There seems to be a problem with the Worx breaking, this is the second one this week I've seen on here. I like the Worx grate as well but it caused the ski to try to stuff at 77-78 on decel (with 1" PRV installed). For lightly modded machines it's great except for the problems with it breaking. Night and day in difference between the Worx and R&D as far as strength. The R&D is much more beefy looking and the casting is ten times better.

Been running the R&D for about two years with zero problems.

Do you have a picture of the failure? Was it from hitting anything? I don't know about WORX, but RIVA will usually replace the grate if there is no visible damage besides the cracking.

my thing 1 seems to have a better hole shot and it has a worx, and thing 2 has an R&D and feels a touch sluggish
