    Riva rear air intake?

Dose anyone know if the Riva 4" rear intake will fit well with the stock exhaust on an RXP?

Also, is there anyone that has this intake on a stage 1 or 2 RXP, that could comment his or her experience - good or bad?

    Thanks,

    -Matt

Matt, it won't fit with the stock exhaust. It makes a huge difference over the regular 3" Riva air intake. Probably 150+ RPM gain.

    Ok. Thanks, Jerry.

Is there anyway to use it with the stock resonator? Or do you pretty much have to go with the thru-hull exhaust?

    Thanks,

You have to go with the thru hull exhaust. The horn of the rear air intake is actually molded to fit around the Riva thru hull exhaust kit.

    Thanks again, Jerry.

Well... guess that kills the silent sleeper look.

A hole in the hull it is, then.

Anyone compared the Riva rear intake to a 4" intake from up front. Any gains at all?
    Thanks

I haven't yet, but it would seam that it would be better to have the rear intake.

Mark, i have. Remember when i used to run the Riva high flow hood? I had a 4" hose direct connected to the hood up front. For the hell of it one day i switched to a 4" rear air and i gained 100 RPM's. I was shocked!

Thanks for the info Jerry. 100 rpm = 1mph, good gain! Could you tell if throttle response was better or acceleration?
