2006 Gp1300r no spark, figured it out but need help.

I have an 06 gp1300r, when I unplug the sensor right behind the air filter (has a Riva air filter) it has spark and when it is plugged in it doesnt have spark. The wires were cut and then crimped back together. There are 4 prongs on the male side of the plug on the sensor and 3 wires coming out of the female side of the plug. one of the wires doesnt match up color wise after the crimp fitting. It is black with orange stripe coming from harness and red with a black stripe going into plug (see pic). Is the sensor bad or is the plug messed up?

That's the throttle positioning sensor...only three leads are used...one additional input is not used...your colors are orange then a pink then a blocked input then a black/orange...seems right in pic..recrimp it see what happens...or get a used one...lots of EFI GPRs parting out...

the tps spring is stuck open not returning and that will lose spark, Remove tps and spray wd40 in the inside were the turn lever is and turn by hand till it's free.
