MoTeC M1, Advanced Spec, have your input
As mentioned here http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=181417 the purpose of this thread is to discuss what new features you guys would like in the “advanced package” of the M1 Seadoo ECU.
We know our solutions are more expensive than others but suggest that most find they are worth the money spent.
Based on how we make our products, the overheads we carry for the product, software and support our pricing has to stay at similar levels otherwise its not a worthwhile business exercise.
One thing we can do using the new M1 platform is allow total customisation of an ECU to suit a particular market and while we can’t get the price much lower we can work on making the ECU itself more useful to its intended customers.
This is a unique opportunity to have input into what actually goes into the code of the product itself.
What tables appear there, what they do, the actual name of any extra channels you want and what they do, buttons that you may want to install, the sky is the limit “virtually”
Some of what you suggest may go into the standard package and some will go into the advanced.
We are building this thing for you, it will be awesome, so have your say
The Standard Package
Designed to run a stock or recreationally modified supercharged Sea-Doo engine/Ski.
Runs factory dash, E throttle, and IBR system.
Similar to most programmable ECU,s with tuneable Fuel, IGN, Inj Timing, E throttle tables etc
Has vastly superior RPM limit control
Feature list included as standard.

Programmable launch control that limits the amount of max throttle based on a dedicated “Launch Timer”
Closed loop programmable individual cylinder knock control (External SKM box required)
Wideband lambda (AFR) via external Lambda to CAN module (LTC) allowing the following features
“Quick Lambda, Lambda Was, closed loop lambda”
Other lambda meters can be connected but for logging and “lambda was” use only
Loggable with level 2, non standard channels include
Individual cylinder exhaust temp
Individual cylinder Lambda
Jet Unit Pressure
Jet Intake Pressure
Jet Nozzle Angle (Steering Position)

Individual Cylinder EGT compensation
Multi MAP (simply 2 or 3 of the following maps, Aim fuel/ignition/boost/throttle)
A way to edit closed loop lambda active areas
Engine run time axis on the air temp comp table
Robust Wireless comms
Fuel Pressure Sensor logged in diagnostic data set
3D table for Aux out put , maybe used for water/meth inj or extra injectors etc, MAP and RPM Axis

Hi Guy's sorry I did not reply earlier, been on a trip, I just got back from Canada, supported the hometown team at a CFL football game yesterday(they did well).
I do believe the first step to a “recreationally modified supercharged Sea-Doo engine” should be additional sensors supported by a data logging capable ECU (such as the M130). A base line is always good to have to reference against any future mods.
It is a little late at night for me to contribute much at this point but will think about it a little more in the next few days.
I am thinking about the use of pressure data at pump inlet and outlet as part of the cavitation control (riding at speed across waves) and also as part of a launch control (by limiting launch rpm to point just ahead of cavitation)

I would like to be able to have an output for an AFR gauge so you can see your AGEs on a gauge without having to buy the complete dash.

Is there anyway to change what is being displayed on the stock dash?
Can the boost bar across the top be recalibrated for say 15 psi and gps speeds are displayed on the dash?
