    Questions about 260x supercharger/engine seizure

    Background: After winter storage ski wouldn't start. Dealer said supercharger is seized and engine has no compression. Kawi wouldnt cover it under extended warranty since they found corrosion in the engine.
    Brought the ski home today took it all apart, every hose, every crevice has sand in it.

    My question is: how did sand get sucked up in and through the engine and how do I prevent this from happening?

    Question, on shallow running and sand. Would it be your opinion that running on/in/around bars in salt water would be detrimental and lead to issues the op describes? Specifically, riding in the surf on the bars? Depth aywhere from 3 ft to 20 ft, in breaking surf.

    Just trade my 260 for a 300. Taking it out tomorrow for the first run.
