Out with the Old; In with the New: Picking up my New 2012 FZR
Finally bit the bullet and purchased a new FZR; yippie! Put a couple of hours on it Sat and am very pleased. Old faithful Kawasaki 15F is going for its last tow and final (semi final) resting place: Going into the resort/summer camp fleet. Have to admit I was a little sad to see it go. However I got over that VERY quickly! FZR is now at home on the Mighty Hudson.

Congratulations, that thing looks like a beast! Looks like the sports car version of my fx ho!

I want to trade in my STX15 for a VXR but I'm sure it will cost me a pretty penny and I'm not sure I can afford it right now.

Thank you one and all. Had it out a few times already, and, what can I say? It does everything I wanted and a little more. Just have to do a few things to make it "mine," and then I'm all set for the next 5 years.

Thanks again. I am very pleased at the ride; much nicer then the 15F; and I will have to admit, at first I was not that pleased with the seat, however where I would have to take a break with the 15F, I can ride comfortably with the FZR. Fuel usage was better then I anticipated; uses not much more then the 15F with all things being equal. However I tend to go a lot faster so of course, at the end of the day, I do use more fuel. However that is my doing and not the ski's. Got caught in an impending thunder storm today and had to high tall it home quick...............could not have done it as easily with the 15.
Again thanks one and all for the compliments.

They are a whole other ballgame. I didn't care for the seat either but you get used to it quick. The steering is what took me the longest to be comfortable. I like the heavier feel of the 15f. The fzr/s is a fun ski for sure though. I'm glad you are enjoying it.
Good luck and stay safe.
