Can anyone help ...06 Sea Doo Keeps beeping

I have a 06 Sea Doo GTX 4-Tec, when I remove my lanyard (key) it keeps beeping.
I have tried tracing wiring from lanyard and cleaned all connections...still no luck !!
The only way to get it to stop is pull + on battery.

    Thanks Matt

If you pull the key and the display stays on and you can start it without the key then you probably have a bad DESS post

bad dess post. or corrosion on the ecu pins. mine gtx was doing the same thing. put a new dess post on and no change. pulled the ecu connectors and there was some corrosion on there, cleaned it up and so far no problems.

this is the advice told to me. will help tell you whats wrong

Disconnect the connector that has the DESS post wires, and measure both sides, DESS post side and the MPEM side. Measure for continuity between the Black/Yellow wire and the Black wire. You should have no continuity on either side. If you have continuity on the DESS post side with key off post, your new DESS post is bad. If you have continuity on the MPEM side of the connector, you have a short somewhere.

I would try replacing the desk post (where the lanyard go's) and go from there. I have ran across the problem on several ski's down here in Galveston.

    Hope that helps,
