    Single PWC Karavan Trailer Re-Built

Over the weekend I was able to pick up a 2009 Karavan WCE 125046 Single PWC Torsion axle trailer for close to nothing. Trailer frame itself is in great conditions with new lights and wiring, but ALL nuts, bolts, and brackets are rusted. My plan over the next few months, while I patiently await to purchase my ski, is to rebuild it from the ground up; from license plate frame and bolts, to hubs and bunks.

I have already started to put together a shopping list of the parts that are needed. But, for some odd reason I can't seem to find the name/part of what I knew as the "Winch Seat". The one previously on the trailer has a broken bracket and I would like to replace it.

Below is an example of the broken part.

Any help on the name, or pointers in the right direction would be appreciated!

310-00394-BL...this is the part # for black. That is for the entire assembly. They may sell just the weldment stand if you call and ask.

    Awesome, thank you!

I will try and get in contact with them meanwhile and see if I can just get that base. The winch, strap, bow stop, and lever are all fine. I would rather not have to purchase the entire assembly if I don't have to.

Same link I posted. Further down on page 17 is the winch support itself. They only have it listed in white and galvanized though. Still worth calling to ask. But now you have the actual part #. Could always spray paint the white one black.

Thanks but no thanks. The tongue is actually good. It's respective bolts are rusted beyond belief. But that can be easily replaced.

You sir are a life saver. Sorry you had to pretty much point my finger to it, didn't have much of a chance to look over the file the first time since I was at work.

Galvanized actually works out though since the trailer actually is galvanized and not black. The picture of the black one is just from the Karavan website, probably their current 2012 model.

Well in those pictures, from the seller, you can see that the trailer jack is rusted.

Here are more detailed pics of the damage I am talking about.. So the trailer will be a bit of work, but I am looking forward to it.

    For an update.

I went ahead and wire brushed all red rust and white rust. Purchase all new zinc plated nuts, bolts, screws, etc. Then galvanized with Rust Oleum Cold Galvanizing Compound. Got in contact with Karavan and got a new winch stand and axle (including hubs).

Plan is to let it dry for a few days, then wet sand and possibly paint black with latex based paint.
