Eric's out of the hospital, and back at home now. He has a long road ahead of him though, as he got beat up pretty bad. Best of luck on a quick recovery Eric!

I can confirm that I was in a bad accident. I was leading a ride on the Kissimmee River Saturday with 4 other friends. I had the accident. A friend brought me back to the ramp where ambulance was waiting. I was transported to Lake Placid Hospital and subsequently airlifted to Tampa General Hospital because of a the trauma to my neck and head injurys.
I am VERY lucky, and happy to say that I was released late Saturday from the hospital and I am home, even went to work today for a couple of hours. However, I do have a long road to full recovery.
It was an accident, I blame no one but myself. It is a dangerous sport we play in and I enjoy the thrill, but it has its risks.
I won't be out on the water anytime soon, but I will be out there. Anyone that knows me, knows this.
Thanks to my family, friends and all my extended GH family for the wishes for a speedy recovery, and especially my 4 friends who got me back to the ramp, towed my ski and got it home, and for putting up with FWC .
