    Rough Idle

Hi. I just bought a brand new 2012 Yamaha VXR and it is fantastic, believe me...top end of 72 and 0-30 in just over a second....wow!!!!
Just one question...at idle, especially at startup, the beast runs a little rough(uneven). Is this normal for these engines? Thanks...Dennis

First...Welcome to the Forum.....Looks like a GPS is in your future......72 mph out of the box is a big stretch.....On the speedo maybe, but in reality 66 to 68 is about the best your going to get in stock form.....

How rough are we talking about? Mine definently sounds gargly at idle but nothing that would cause me concern. I actually like the way it sounds. I think they're all a little rough when idling.
