    Anyone pick up Windows VISTA yet?

    anyone buy a copy yet and install it? What do you think of it?

    and if so, which of the many versions did you buy?

    I have had Ultimate for a while. I like it.
    If you don't have all of the required hardware to run it you won't get all of the features.
    Also, the only antivirus that seems to work is the microsoft Live One Care.

    vista is built for the 64bit mother boards and processers if you dont have them you wont benefit that much

    yea, you need a 64 bit unit with atleast 2 gig of RAM to REALLy open that system up...We've been playing with Beta setups at my office for testing future builds, and they are SLOW until you get atleast a gig in them...

    And if you get it, opt for the Ultimate edition, it comes with evrything...

    Some will right now...

    In about a year I plan to build a new PC, I'll let the aftermarket come out with some newer boards, but I plan to run 4gig atleast...spinning 2 SATA 10,000rpm drives in RAID setup...

    I loaded it on my laptop and my small desktop and it wasn't that big of a deal.
    I just put it on my Dell Precision 650 with dual 3.01 xeons and 4 gigs of ram.It rocks and rolls on this system. The aero interface is cool.
