    What would be the easiest first mods for 07 ULTRA 250

    Can i get sum info on that air box by riva.woulid that be the 1st good step also what loading grate would be sufficient ?thanks

    I ride with a 72 mph 250.
    I only get from 66 to 68mph on my 260.

    I smoke him every where we go as he can't get hook up.
    If you are going to ride smooth lake style riding all the time go for it.
    If is is choppy most the time, just put on a R&D plate and thats it leave it.

    So many guy's spend $500.00 to $1000.00 per mph, then they put it back to stock.
    I got my 260 to do 72.3 mph on a good day, then it broke. (never again).

    This was why I asked what I did on the other thread. As WOT stated if you are riding in some roung waters leave it alone or possibly a plate. TBM signatire series and the Riva grate.
    Calm water Riva plate, modify your grate, 2 degree wedge, make sure your pump and impeller are good and close clearances. That is the starting point. You will gain speed but loose the quality of the rough water ride quite a bit. Leave the stock sponsons. You can to the added air port as Waz posted somewhere to give the engine more air.

    Is a key chip software or key upgrade to raise the boost? Poss.a differant waistgate? I ride in long island sound.sometimes choppy,othertimes smooth like glass thru the island snakes.it took me 3 skis to get this one,i tried each 1 to get the fastest one.1 went 58,1 went 65, and finnaly mine witch says 70.o

    that would be his i/c pulley kit is the only way to raise the boost,

    Is the stock waistgate adjustable? Stock psi is around 11 With out blowin up the engine how much could u go 12-13?

    mate sounds like you need to do lots of reading on here to understand your ski. you can block the bov but it aint going to give you anymore boost it is what it is its a roots blower they are rpm dependant. meaning only way to increase boost is to decrease pulley size but then that opens up a whole new can of worms of which im guessing you wouldnt understand from the questions you are asking. spend a few hours and read all about your ski on here. or here 250xtech.com

    Like nicjak said, read up if your going this route. More air needs more fuel or kaboom!
