    2002 gp 1200r vs 2004 fx cruiser vs 2000 seadoo xp

    To start off hello everyone this is my first post.My buddy is about to buy a 04 fx cruiser there a 4 stroke and its got 140 hp 1000cc, will he be able to keep up to me out there or should i tell him not to buy it, also hes looking at a 2000 seadoo xp 2 stroke 951cc, what do you guys think.

    My ride is a 02 gp1200r!!

    A good running fx140 will be about 54-56mph. your ski 60-63,assuming it's stock. The fx hull is bigger/heavier, so if the water gets choppy. He'd actually pull away from you.

    What about the xp , how fast are they, I here they are very unstable

    the xp will keep up with you but are tippy imo. buddy has one and i hate getting on and off of the thing

    So basically stay away from both the fx 140 because its not made for speed and the xp too tippy ? Are the 1997-1999 gsx 951s the same engine design and performance as the 951 they later put in the xp??

    Why not a gp100r or an xlt1200 limited with the 155 hp.

    keep looking for another ski if he wants to keep up with you. The FX is a family ski and expensive to repair and service. The XP, well its fun if you like small circles in the water...
