What RPM? Pull the air intake off and see if the wheel spins both ways or only one way. When my clutch went I was up around that speed at about 5200 rpm's with no pull..

Can you hear the SC making its chirping-like sound at idle?? But like Carbonic said, yank the intake and grab the SC wheel. Only spins one way=good. Both=new clutch AND IDLER for you.

Dont trust the speedo to be accurate or consistent, it's neither. I'd probably check the pump/impeller as well to make sure everthing looks fine below..

chama trust me the speedometer is always off, you need to check your speed by a real garmin gps or any other brand. But need to be a gps. Also when you are going to get max speed on the fzr you are going to get better numbers on a lake than in the ocean. Ocean will kill you 2-3 mph on top end speeds, so if you are running 67 mph on a lake, in the ocean you will run 65 mph.
