    Help With Worx Sponsons???

Hey guys, I am wanting the best straight-line stability. Should the sponsons be put in the up position or down position?

Sponsons greatest affect is while turning, especially higher speed turns. The sponson will dig into the water and grip in a turn. Without a sponson, you would slide through a turn and possibly spin out.
Sponsons down creates a little extra hull lift in the rear and at the same time kinda pushes the nose down. That could help you plow through bigger waves/chop instead of riding up and down them. As far as side to side stability that we were discussing in your other thread mjealey, the ski can kinda "chine walk" back and forth with the sponsons down depending which ski we are talking about and what speeds we are talking about

Ok, thanks for your guys help. I rode the ski this past weekend and it wasn't too bad. I think I am getting use to it and it does not bother me as much. I set the Sponsons to the down position and will see how it feels. I also finished putting in tonight the R&D Intake grate, ride plate, and PPK sealed really well! Hopefully I will feel a difference! I am going to start with the sponsons in the down position. They are super easy to change so I can change them if I wanted to!
