RXP pump venturi- bilge siphon tubes

Picked up a new pump venturi for a RXP. The factory bilge siphon tubes are sold individually and you install them.

Anyone know what holds them in place ? They are a loose fit, could probably epoxy them in but wanted to check to see how they are actually supposed to be installed.

    Parts 27 & 28,

Dave just looked @ a stocker and there is evidence of some sort of glue. Maybe PVC cement.

Thanks Steve, I remember a couple of years ago I removed the siphon tubes from another ski. They basically came out in pieces so I was pretty sure something fit better or possibly glued in somehow.

any kind of rtv will do the job ...seadoo likely calls for some kind of exotic 20 a gallon product to cement them in place.

Thanks for the info, that would be about right for seadoo. They always call for sealant, grease etc that is impossible to find.

    It's not just seadoo either....

I remember a mad search for the last cans of WD-39 in Miami back in the day when that was the only thing you could use to lubricate a wet-jet throttle cable without the lining dissolving.

I understand your point 100%, but I will admit I was shocked at how good Loctite 598 Black is. I'm not sure if Sea-Doo calls for 598 for the siphon tubes, but 598 is superior if you ever have to disassemble the parts that you sealed up. I agree, though, if you're just sealing the siphon tubes through the transom, I'd likely use any tube of RTV I had lying around already opened.
