Question about 2000 Polaris Genesis
Am looking at an add on craigslist, guy wants $2700.00. What could be wrong and what would cost be to correct it? Did these have the same ignition problems the early red 700s had?
(4) Passenger Jet Ski, 1200cc (3) cylinder, has reverse, includes like new 2008 Triton Trailer. Starts and runs but does not run correctly in water

I sent him a message asking to be more specific as to what it does in the water and this is his reply
It runs for a little bit but sounds like it chokes itself out. Like it is not getting air. Or it it getting too much oil.

I have had this same(year & model) ski for 8 years and it's been good with no major problems... (I probably should'nt of said that)..
It still has the "gray" fuel line that need changing, so it could use a good carb cleaning. Is that just a shadow in the pic on the PTO cyc? or has it got real hot... Do you know how many hours?
