Maybe you shold talk to Duke then,Anytime you start playing with that 75+ MPH mark on an X boat your flirting with danger of overstuff...And the paople you have talked to about the intake grate were right,it DOES play a huge role in overstuff up to 80....Before anything i would get the R & D intake grate put on that boat, then if you plan on using the Riva ECU you will need to get the valve train kit installed unless you want to buy a new motor in the near future, also a way to monitor and adjust your AFRs is needed AND IF you are planning on runnning 80+ then the pump relief valves are a must also....To just bolt on and go is NOT the right way of doing this as you are setting yourself up to blow up or get hurt, which ever happens first..the X boats are not as forgiving as the older 215HP models..So take these guys words wisely and be careful..

Im def takin there words wisely. The only reason I just threw the ecu in was cause I had it. I was told just puttin the ecu in id pick up a solid 2mph wo even repitching the prop. I def have a major concern with over stuffing the pump. Anyone have Dukes number? Also I do run the r&d grate. I was told stay away from the riva grate cause at around 75 it will over stuff and throw you off. As I have said Eric from speed freeks has numerous customers with X boats and non of them have the pressure relief and they all run between 80-87mph. How are they all getting away with no pressure relief and not over stuffing?
Thanks for all the help and info.

I cant answer, but only presume why they are not,BUT I will say just because one doesn't do it doesn't mean the next wont...There is alot that comes into play with these setups that can help,or hurt you...This is just a warning and if you feel secure enough then that's your choice to ride with or without it...I just would hate to see the next post of yours being your in the hospitable cause your ski stuffed and threw your ass..I just had a good friend of mine taken to the hospitable off the water do to a broken driveshaft and he wasn't even up to speed when it broke..The shaft broke, stuffed the pump and threw him into the handle bars dislocating both shoulders,i guess he can consider himself lucky as that was the worst of it....Shit happens fast at these speeds and you literally have no time to react...To me a little extra safety VS spending time in the hospitable is worth alot more to me than riding by the seat of my pants...
As far as getting ahold of Duke??PM him on here,im sure he will be more than happy to explain to you more about overstuff and the relief valves..be safe my friend..
