2011 GTX LTD Reflash/ECU problem
Ok.....Let me attempt to tell the whole story.
When I first got the ski, I bought an over-ride module(SCOM) for it. Well, when I picked it up, it was for a 2010 ski instead of a 2011. Now the foolishness starts. Instead of returning the 2010 & getting a 2011, my mechanic spliced some wires & made it work. Ski ran fine with the SCOM.
Fast forward ahead to last month, I decided to reflash the GTX the same way I flashed my XT-260 with the 8350 tune.
We send the ECU to Jerry for flashing, but upon getting it back, the ECU had error codes, wouldn't run in anything but Sport Mode, and on & on. Turns out the wrong file got loaded, and hosed my ECU. Honest mistake, I know this is long but stay with me. So Jerry discounted me a hand-held tuner, and I went that route. I got the tune loaded (or so I thought). I took the ski to the water today, and now the ski runs like it did when it was stock.....68mph at 7800 rpms. And to top that off, it would periodically completely lose power & shut off.
So my question is, would the wire splicing to get that SCOM hooked up affect my Reflash? Should I remove the SCOM? Any input is appreciated.

You should have removed the SCOM when you reflashed. The wiring just sends power to the module. I would unplug the SCOM - reflash - test.

Ok.....could that have also caused the issue with the ski losing power? It didn't throw a code or anything, it just went completely blank like it got disconnected from the battery somehow. Almost like a wire wasn't grounded properly or something.
