    Help with prop please

    Hi Guys,

I need some prop advice. Setup is 06rxt with riva stage 3 charger, 42's, 2 degree wedge, riva 3inch intake, stock intercooler. We were trying not to modify too deeply since this is the tow home ski, but would still like to get some pep out of the ski.

    Results
    with 14/17 prop....rpm 8120....66.1mph (approx 1/2 tank)
    with 15/18 prop....rpm 8080-8100...65.9mph (full tank)
with stock charger 14/17 stock injectors and above mods 61.5 @7600rpm

Doesn't seem to make sense. I consider speeds of 65.9 and 66.1 about equivalent give the full vs 1/2 tank of gas and also very low for this setup.
We have a 14/19 prop to try.

    Any other advice?

    Thanks.

    Something's very wrong....your numbers suck.

I'm running....a flushed Riva grate, skegs, 2*wedge, rear air, S3 wheel, free-flo exhaust.

    I'm seeing 72.7 at 8050

Start by swapping the pos 3" intake for at the very least a 4" front....w/o a filter. I bet you see better numbers immediately.

I know those numbers are awful. Any big difference in salt vs fresh water? Looking at baseline numbers with a stage 1 prop we only saw 61, which is way below, but the revs are high.

My understanding has salt a lil slower...but not that much slower.

What were the other atmospheric conditions?...rad ect?

Wear ring actually lookey very good with the prop change. Don't have the other parameters unfortunately (water temp, humidity), but its 85 year round. I think the heat definately plays a role.

Just to test though, I will flip the wear ring. This would remove that from the equation.
