    Removable sealant

Can anyone recommend a removable pumpshoe/grate sealant. Just going to be semi-temporary,and don't want to spend hours scraping off in a few weeks. Will that permatex liquid gasket stuff be ok...or just plain silicone be best?

Wal-mart sells a sealant that is semi permanant. It cost about 7-8 bucks and is about as stout as the 3M 4200. It drys fast and seals well. The brand is Attwood and is in a navy blue skin pack . When you spread it on, it cleans up well with carb cleaner.

I've also used silicone, it works in a pinch and will eventually blow out in pieces.... at least mine did.

will look into that, thank you. I wouldnt mind the regular silicone blowing out, just dont want a bad cavitation or safety issue
