    Question priston help needed

Hello I just got a 98 Kaw 1100 STX. The back piston is needs to be replaced so I decided to just go ahead and rebuild the whole top end. The ski will be used for rec purpose only. I was looking at the Pro-X or the WSW platinum top end kits. Which one would be better for dependability and performance for my ski? Also what reeds should I go with for better performance over stock? Any other mods for performance that should be done while I'm putting new parts in?

    Welcome aboard, swampfox!

I'd use Pro-X or Kawasaki pistons myself.

I wouldn't waste time or money on the reeds. The biggest bang for the buck is an aftermarket impeller.

I'd also suggest you replace the oil lines with polyurethane hose. The original hose will get brittle with age and could crack.

The smallest bore that will remove the damage, that you can buy pistons & rings for. I think they make .5, 1.0, and 1.5 mm, but it's possible they have .25 and .75.
