'08 RXP-X Finger Throttle issue
I have an 08 RXP-X and small hands so that when riding hard on buoys it is very hard for me to have a good grip on the bars and still have control for a full pull on the throttle. It seems that I can only catch the tip of my finger on the throttle if I want to pin it and if I'm riding hard I have to move my hand closer on the grip to the throttle to keep my grip but then when I pin it my second finger is stuck in behind the the lever so that I only get 3/4 pull. Question: Does anyone else have a similar problem.
Is there an after-market finger throttle lever for the RXP-X that works well in my situation? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Gord Horne

How does the older thumb throttle suite your riding style? I myself do to care for the trigger throttle-- my hands are large enough, but the "grip" I have on the controls is not comfortable for me. You can always back date if you like the thumb throttle better and you will sell your setup and make 2-3 times your money back doing the swap. I tried a few other aftermarket trigger throttles on other machines-- some were more comfortable than the 08 X's, but I still perfer the thumb throttle.

I really need the finger throttle set-up for racing closed course so I just need to find a throttle lever that fits my hand size and grip placement better. Thanks for your input though.

Maybe try a smaller diameter grip, I had the thick ODI Rouge grips and they made my hand hurt after bouy racing, on my Polaris Pro 785 I have the smaller grips and they seem to work better, and have less hand cramping,

Interesting thought. I will look into that, but I still think that the actual finger throttle lever is a bit to stubby and short for my short finger to reach it.

I have Rouges on my Sea-Doo already. I see that they come in different lengths (120mm & 130mm) but I don't see any reference to thickness or overall circumference. Anyone have any thoughts or info on this?

Is there an after-market finger throttle lever that will bolt on to the existing '08 RXP-X housing?

I'm guessing that would that be a whole finger throttle assembly not a replacement lever..
I need to do something... got any pictures of your set-up?
