    2000 sea-doo xp 951

    I have a 2000 sea-doo xp 951 that i just restored.....
    I had the hull redone new worx race sponsons, new solas dynafly impeller, power plenum pro lock air filters, r&d ride plate, r&d intake grate, front splash guard,the engine is a crate engine from sea-doo, just had carbs rebuilt but seems to be lagging from the take off! My tec that did the work want's to know if i should change the jetting and if so what size? And are there any other bolt on's anyone can think of that really helped out the performance of their ski? IS IT OK TO USE AMSOIL INSTEAD OF SEA-DOO 2 STROKE OIL? Thank's chris

    Up on top of the section is Ben's thread. He made all his 951 mods to an XP. There you will find lots of info on how to tweak yours. In order to point in the right direction by the guys here: what pitch is the impeller? what is your compression?

    Yes it's ok to run Amsoil Interceptor

    You absolutely need to re-jet anytime you change the intake on a carb ski. You also need to make sure that the accelerator pump is working good.

    That said, the XP LTD is one of the doggiest ski on take off. Have you ridden it before the mods, or ridden any stock one before?

    no I haven't just got it back together since I got the new motor from sea-doo....I was wondering if I re jet it if that will take care of the problem?
