03 XP-DI ????
As of late i have been debating purchasing a 2nd jetski for the friends and or girlfriend to ride when i go out. A good friend of mine is selling his 03 XP-DI that has 43 hours on it and has been well maintained. I remember riding it a few years back and i can say it was a blast. Gotta love that 2-stroke scream and the fact that its pretty agile in the water. Only thing i dont like about it is its a little tipsy and is not too fun with more than one person. At the same time though it seems to be a cool little pwc and i think it would be a good 2nd boat to have. I would love some input from you guys on the XP-DI's. Anyone own one with high ours? Pros and Cons? Are they reliable in the long run? Any other recommendations for a cheaper jetski to buy to have as a 2nd boat?

Loved it! Had an '03 myself. Very, very expensive fuel system to fix. If it ever went down. Fuel pump $600. Etc etc etc.

i found a 97 XP thats looks pretty clean and is alot cheaper... as far as the years go do the 97's have any faults or problems?

The '97 has the 110hp 787 engine and the '98 and up have the 130hp 947 engine. I would try to find a '98 or newer carb ski. With a little love that ski will last a long time,

Yeah, I'd probably take a carb ski over a DI ski. Just for the simple fact of any repairs. Easier to diagnose, and cheaper to fix. If all else is equal.......
As stated above, newer is better. Not too much more money. Also older skis had an issue with fuel lines. Just don't remember which......

any recomendations on a newer carb ski other than the xp? lower price and higher reliability is my goal (if its even possible lol)
