Can I use a 1100 DI shortblock to build a 1100 Carbed motor

I'm in the process of building a SXR conversion ski, and have located a good 1100 DI short block, however want to run it with carbs, can I installed the carb's manifold/reeds and non DI head or is this just not an option??

I'd suggest you go to a parts site and look up the 9-digit part numbers for both models and compare. The GH parts store doesn't give the complete part number, you have to look elsewhere.

can be done, need flywheel with electrics, stator cover, cyl head and studs, intake manifold with crossover.

Yes can be done, but you will lose a little compression with the DI pistons because they are flat tops with a small dish for the fuel injector.

Thanks Guys, I plan on over boring and running a/m head carbs and inlet so should all work fine. Thanks
