Driveshaft bearings ( by the pto) do they go bad?

I'm still not satisfied with the " it's normal" noise on my rxp and I'm curious if anybody has had these replaced and why they replaced them and if it made a noise before. Thanks everyone this noise is driving me nuts. also curious what I'll need to do the job.

Here is the thread on my "noise". http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=182608

It could be the rubber bumper on the driveshaft........or the lack of the rubber bumper.
