Timing Key and Higher Compression Question

    Hey guys,
I'm looking to take my 06 gp1300r up a notch. I have a stock head that was cut by Bill for 150 psi. It is installed and I love the snap it provided. I also have a 3 degree timing key that I haven't installed yet. Here in Oklahoma I'm limited to 91 octane fuel. Will the addition of the timing key be too much for the octane and produce detonation? If the timing key puts me in the danger zone I will just sell it. I just want to avoid a future meltdown as much as possible. Thanks!!

interesting, i thought we were the only ones here in Ca who got stuck with 91 octane. i repeatedly saw 93 while on vacation in upstate New York, where they also have reformulated gas. we were told it was due to reformulation, but obviously it is not.

    D plate too I assume...

IMO you would be fine since you have the controller.
