put in new plugs and a battery and changed the gas out started right up

Brought the jet ski to the jersey shore. while down there in low tide my father and I ran aground (he was driving). I tried to tell him it was WAY too low and it happened he didn't know what to do. we cut the engine and we had to pull it 35 yards to deep enough water

with the grate out.... What should I look at other than flushing and the prop to see what damage has been done!?

What was the bottom material where you grounded the ski? Sand, mud, silt, gravel, rocks?

If it was very fine bottom material like silt or mud then there is probably no damage. Just make sure the water inlet screen is clear as well as the exhaust water injection screen. Same for sand.

Rocks or gravel mean you should inspect the impeller and stator blades for dings or damage. Also look over the hull bottom for deep scrapes or impact damage. Unless there is a clear indication that something was hurt, don't get too worried about it. Many of us have grounded at one time or another.

I presume this is a carburetor engine. If you haven't already, work through the material in my signature posts regarding common and suggested maintenance and update/upgrade items.

All sand and some mud when we pulled it out we Shook the hell out of the back end like the manual/Polaris video says I'm reading as much as possible out of it there's a ton to soak in hahaha
