    2000 GPR 1200 pv

A friend of mine is getting a 2000 yamaha GPR(given to him) . It has an engine but is missing a few parts and he's considering just dropping in a new engine. He has looked at SBT engines but are there any other good places to pick one up?

I bought my XLT the same way.. It was robbed of the #3 cylinder and piston, the exhaust, and numerous other hardware and misc parts while it was in storage.. Don't buy an SBT engine.. Use good ole GH to aquire the parts you need and you will come out with a nice boat and a lot cheaper build in the end.. I paid $500 for my XLT and thru bartering and selling off parts from an old GPR I aquired I have not spent one extra penny.. Look at the ski in my avatar <---- Not too shabby for $500, A LOT of time on GH and a little hard labor huh?? You can find everything you need right here in the GH classifieds to get er back to running condition.. I did..

I'm not sure because i have not seen it yet. It was in the process of being rebuilt so many of the parts are brand new. He was just trying to look at worst case scenarios

Best thing to do is stick with factory engine. SBT and the like are not nearly as good.
