Waxing the hull adversely effects the top speed?
Ok so the owner I purchased my RXT from told me not to was the underside / hull. She said when she had her ski in for service, the representative was telling her a story about a customer who brought their jet ski in because after they had waxed the hull, the jet ski wouldn't go as fast as it use to. They told her they stripped the wax off the hull and the ski returned to it's normal top speed. I really am having a hard time believing this but just wanted to ask since I am a clean freak and would like to wax the bottom to shine it up

Not sure of it slowing you down, but waxing the bottom will not gain any speed.

I didn't notice any difference when my hull was waxed vs. not.

Good luck getting this question answered lol.
You're gonna get answers from it slows you down, to no difference, to it makes you faster.

You would want to speed coat the bottom of the hull not wax it . A ruff bottom is better then a smooth bottom . Because it makes little air bubbles . I've never done a jet ski . But it works on boats .....
