    Reflash ??

I'm considering a reflash. Are there any concerns for A/F ratios? I have a 2012 FZS and have been looking at a r2 or r3.

R3 as far as i am concerned you can run an R3 w/o having to touch the gas. My friend has it this way no problems, he getting around 77 78 miles all day with this set up spinning 8500 Rpms.

Depends on where you are located. Get a afr gauge. Very cheap a $200 investment.
Are you gonna run it with a oem s.c. wheel and intercooler?

I plan to run the stock sc and intercooler for now. May upgrade later on. I really don't plan to upgrade to a higher boost wheel or anything and I'm not looking to turn much over 8k rpm. Like to retain and much reliability as possible for longevity.

What A/F meters do you recommend? Is it a fairly easy install?

I think I'd be happy with something less aggressive as in an r2 over an r3. I run 93 all the time and fill up on the way to the water, but occasionally I may run 89/90 non ethanol from the one of the marinas to get me back to the ramp in a low fuel situation.

Not sure how much more aggressive the tuning is going from r1 or r2 to r3??

Get an r3, some of the other flashes Require a Powershot which break a lot and can cause a failure on your engine. AFR so far i use an AEM on my Turbo Set up, looks and works perfect.

R2 works great for my application even prior to the wheel. Gained about 3 mph just with the reflash. A buddy of mine did an R2 reflash no wheel or intercooler on his fzr and his rpms were like 8080 and once he repitched to turn 8600 his ski was doing 76-77. Way better gas mileage as well. R3 has more bottom end grunt.
